Long lost brother?

Kamrie and I went to PetSmart yesterday with my sister and her husband. As we were looking around a lady came in with a little black dog. He was pretty scraggly looking. But, as I looked at him, I realized he looked an awful lot like Spikey. I asked her what kind he was. She told me he was a rescue dog and they thought he was part chihuahua. Spikey is chihuahua /yorkie. Kamrie asked his name, the lady told her he didn't have one, yet, but they were thinking of calling him either Scruffy or Spike! I asked to take a picture of him (of course, being the good blogger I am, I had my camera in my purse!) and remembered I had a couple pics of Spikey on my camera. We couldn't believe how much they looked alike.

The top picture is Spikey and the bottom picture is Scruffy/Spike!!

What do you think?

Thrifty bargains at Target

Thursday on the way home, Richard took me by Target. My main goal was to get Spike's t-shirt (see post below), of course, I always look at the clearance when I'm in there. Candles are my weakness. I love to burn them every day.

In the top photo are 2 boxes of sachets. One is Lavender and the other is Wild Currant. There are 4 sachets in each box. Regular price $3.96, clearance price 74 cents. And 2 sets of scented oils. One has Vineyard, Sonoma Pear and Wild Currant. The other has Winter Pine, Amber and Sandalwood. Regular price on those was $7.96, clearance price $1.98. They all smell really good.

The bottom picture has a 12 pack of tealights in Spiced Pumpkin and 2 boxes of 4 votives, also in Spiced Pumpkin. The tealights were regular price $4.24 on clearance for $1.06 and the votives were regular price of $3.58 on clearance for 88 cents. There are also 2 fragrance sets. One in Vineyard and the other in Wild Currant. Each set has 4 tealights, a bottle of scented oil and 10 wax melts. These were regular priced at $7.98, on clearance for $1.98.

All in all, I think I got some good deals on some good smells! A couple of these will be little gifts.

Don't take this personal, Rocky!

My sister, Chris, told me about this shirt from Target. I knew I HAD to buy one for Spikey. He has a love-hate relationship with Rocky! LOL I had to go to 2 Targets to find it. I LOVE it! It is SO us.

Mt. Everest?

Nope, just a snow hill on the way to Jaiden's bus stop. He, of course, wanted to climb it! I wasn't having any of that at 7:40 in the morning. It was so cold out that my eyes were running.

"Home baked" bread

This cinnamon raisin bread from Meijer is sooo good! It is partially baked and you finish baking it in your own oven. It is so crusty outside and moist inside. I topped it with a glaze I made with powdered sugar and fresh squeezed orange juice. Then I toasted some walnuts and sprinkled those on top. I could eat the whole loaf!

Swap wreath

I am really happy how this rag wreath turned out. It is for my swap partner, Jen, for the Vintage Heart Swap I'm in. I have alot of other cool stuff for her, but I can't show it until she receives her box of goodies!

Where I blog from...

Several of my bloggy friends have posted where they blog from...This is my desk in my scraproom/computer room. Richard got the desk out of a building they were tearing down. It was a typical gry metal office desk. He power washed it , primered it and painted it burgandy for me. I love it. It fits in my room perfectly. It has 4 drawers and a door with 3 shelves behind it.

I have a wonderful view of the side yard and all of the feeders.

On my desk is my day planner, a little wooden container(from Goodwill) with-kleeenx, scrap paper, an emory board, eye glass cleaner, chapstick, etc., an antique donkey vase(from the Salvation Army) with my pens, pencils and scissors in it and a little dish of hard candy.

I have a quilted piece underneath everything.

I almost forgot my leather chair with a fleece throw over the back. Well, it's my chair if someone else isn't sitting there!! LOL

I'll have dip with my chip

Spikey likes to have a little dip with his chips!! He's spoiled, what can I say! LOL

Hana Yori

Saturday evening we went to Hana Yori (a Japanese steak house) for Kylah's birthday. It was supposed to be just the girls(Heather, Kylah, Jazmine, Safire, Elizabeth and me), but Justin wasn't having any of that! He LOVES to eat there, so Ky told him he could chauffeur us!!

I took a bottle of sparkling grape juice to have on the way! The girl's loved it.

We had such a fun time and the food was to die for. Our chef was funny and entertaining.

On the way home Justin went in to Dairy Queen and bought Kylah an ice cream cake. She loved it! He is so good to her.

More fun photos

I have so much fun doing these! I have several sites that I use. If anyone has any they use let me know what they are. Thanks!
