I got a bag of shiny, brass handles at a garage sale for free. Now, I don't particularly like shine, brass...so I figured I could paint them! The old handles have been on the cabinets and drawers for many, many years. They were a white plastic. Yes, I said plastic. We have 15 doors and 8 drawers. I just couldn't justify spending alot of money on them.
A couple of weeks ago when we were at Richard's brother's shop fixing the driveshaft on the truck, I took the handles, spray primer and burgandy satin paint with me. Randy has a small paint booth in his shop. While Richard worked on the truck I painted the handles. They turned out so nice. Yay!
Well, this week I have finally taken the time to change them out. They make such a difference. I really like the way they look.
By the way, I changed out all of the handles on the cabinet drawers on wednesday and Richard hasn't noticed. He is not very observant! But I love him anyway!

Oooooo I really like those...so much better than the plastic!
I like the berries on the cabinets...cute!
What a great idea to paint them! Those little buggers are expensive and I love that you found a creative solution. They looks so perfect against the white too! Thank you for your sweet words on my blog :)
