Amish country

Since Richard isn't working (another post on that later) and it was so nice, 32* and sunny, outside. We went down to Rentown. A little Amish community about 1/2 hour from here. There is an Amish store there that we had been wanting to go to. They sell lots of stuff in bulk:spices, candies, pastas and other baking ingredients. They had some good prices on cheese, butter and a few other things. We also got a homemade carrot cake and a loaf of homemade bread!

Next time we are going to eat lunch there. They have lots of homemade goodies on their menu.

The pictures were taken out the car window!

We had a nice day and it was so good for my cabin fever! It is supposed to be 50* tomorrow. It was below 0* yesterday morning when I walked Jaiden to the bus. What a difference a couple of days make.

I came across your blog and thought I'd leave a comment. I like your blog. It looks so cheery. We've been having some really cold weather to. And also like you it warmed up into the 40's and it's like we're having a heat wave compared to how it's been.

Great pictures. We have a lot of Amish people around here, too. The nearest of their stores are about 23 miles from here. But, it is worth the trip. !! Stay warm. Hugs~~~ leslie
