Old 2 Gold sale

On Saturday Kylah and I went to the Old 2 Gold sale. It is a HUGE sale of everything that the students at Notre Dame leave behind when they move out at the end of the year. It is unbelievable the things that they leave behind. All monies go to local charities.

We bought 3 pair of sandals(one ND), 4 pairs of shorts, 2 hoodies, a cardigan sweater, 3 pairs of sweatpants, a pair of ND slippers. an ND winter hat, 2 tank tops, 2 pair of Converse flats, a pair of zebra striped flats, a pair of Rocket Dog slip ons, 2 pair of black UGGS and a pair of brown UGGS. All for only $19.00!

Kylah's reaction to seeing how long the line was!

The line went all of the way around the outside of the stadium.

These are tables of clothes and shoes for sale.

shoes and boots $1.00-$2.00
sandals and slippers 2/$1.00
shirts, pants & sweaters $1.00-$2.00
pj's $1.00
ties, scarves, belts, socks, cosmetic bags, wallets 2/$1.00
coats & jackets $1.00-$2.00
dresses $1.00-$2.00
purses $1.00-$2.00

They also had futons $20.00, carpets and rugs $5.00-$20.00, dressers, desks, chairs, couches, shelves, small electronics, books and text books, folders and notebooks, all kinds of holiday decor, shower caddies, TVs, CDs, curtains and lots of bedding, towels, sporting equipment, lamps, computer monitors and some jewelry(last year I bought a gold bangle bracelet for $3.00. When I was in FL I asked my brother in law, who is a jeweler, if it was real. He said is was worth $200-$300.00!! I was thrilled). They have basically everything a student would have in the dorms.

After the sale, Kylah and I drove around campus and took a few pics. Here are a few of my favorites!

"Touchdown Jesus". This beautiful mural is on the Hesburgh library.

The golden dome. I get goosebumps everytime I see this!

It's amazing what kids will leave behind! At my daughter's college they leave things out by the curb. She was moving out of the dorm her first year into a home with several other girls and was able to find some great stuff for it! Unfortunately we had to tote it home and store it all in our garage the whole summer! lol

I've always wanted to visit the campus of Notre Dame...so much history there! ~~Annie
