Another trip through Amish country...

Richard and I got up early to go to Shipshewana for the day. We ate breakfast at a small diner. They have a breakfast buffet with homemade Amish foods. Fried mush, tomato gravy, HUGE carmel rolls along with the usual breakfast foods. Then we went to E & S bulk food store and downtown Shipshe. After we took a l o o o n g drive thought the country. Below are some of the beautiful sights along the way!

Tomorrow, I will post pictures from inside some of the shops. One being a fabulous fabric shop. Beautiful pictures!

Laundry day.

Crops. Corn and soybeans.

Farm animals. Yes, those are deer. A lot of the Amish raise deer.

Grocery shopping.

Transportation.

After a trip through Amish country, you have this all over your tires! You need to watch where you step when crossing the streets and in parking lots.

Amish homes.

Loved the pictorial tour. I've only seen this on the film 'Witness'.

Hello from twopeas! I loved all the pics, I've always wanted to visit Amish country. I guess I didn't realize how large their homes are. Are they all so big? Do they have large families?

Great pics, I"m glad I stopped by!
