I'm heartbroken to have to say that Rocky died this afternoon. He had been in and out since we let him free. He had been inside since Saturday morning and had been fine. This afternoon, he wasn't acting like himself and died shortly after Richard got home from work. He was in his bed with his little "hands" crossed when he went to sleep for the last time.
Outside last week, enjoying the fresh air.
These were taken this afternoon. He just wanted me to hold him.
We will miss him so much.
I will be posting pictures of him playing outside on this blog and on his blog, in a day or two.

I'm so sorry to hear about Rocky! I wonder what happened. It's sweet that he can home to you when he wasn't feeling well. Little sweet boy.
I'm so sorry Denise. You two did a wonderful thing for him by giving him life and loving him, he sure was a cutie! God bless. Wendy
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your little squirrel. I lost my little black squirrel (we have black ones here) earlier this Spring.
They are such a joy to watch and interact with.
He was lucky to have you to come home to.
I came across your blog a few months ago and enjoyed reading about Rocky so much. I am so sorry about your loss. Isn't it something how our animals can become so much a part of our lives and are like family? I will be thinking of you and Rocky. God Bless. PAM
I found your blog a couple of months ago and have been fascinated to read of Rocky's adventures.
I'm so sorry to hear that you have lost Rocky. Isn't it strange how dear sweet creatures come into our lives and take over our hearts? I know exactly how you must feel at the moment, and my heart goes out to you. I'm sure that Rocky knew he was loved and returned home to be with you when he felt unwell. You should be proud that you gave him such a kind and loving home. His sweet memories will stay with you forever. RIP Rocky.
