Does anyone celebrate Dyngus Day where you live? It is a big deal here and a bigger deal in South Bend, IN. Every year we go to the Knights of Columbus for Dyngus dinner. It is all homemade and so yummy! We had a polish sausage sandwich, pierogies, sweet and sour cabbage with bacon, kluski noodles and pickled eggs. All for only $8.00. I look forward to this every year. If it is an election year, all of the politicians are there. This year, not so much(thanks goodness!!) LOL

The 3 connecting beaches were so busy last week. Of course, it was spring break. On friday we couldn't even find a place to park at Englewood Beach, so we went to Stump Pass Beach. We had to get in line for a parking place, but only had to wait about 5-10 mintues. Believe me, it was worth the wait! The following pics are from Stump Pass Beach.
Stump Pass is another beach that is adjacent to Englewood Beach. This was my mom's favorite spot. It was here that we scattered her ashes in the Gulf of Mexico.
My funny brother in law, Larry!

My niece, Peyton.
Look closely and you will see Peyton being swallowed by a big wave!
One of these posts will have some of the wonderful food I ate on my trip! Fresh seafood, what could be better?
