I went out to cut some lilacs yesterday evening. I got a few cut when I heard a loud buzzing in the air around me. Oh great, bumble bees! I am deathly afraid of all bugs (and snakes, mice, etc.). They started flying at me. I ran for my dear life! Shaking the lilacs at them to keep them from landing on me. I'm sure the neighbors thought that I had finally lost my ever loving mind! LOL When RIchard came home I told him of my near death escapade! He laughed and went out to see if I was exaggerating! He was brave enough to snap a couple of pics, that is until they started flying at him. If I looked anywhere near as funny as he did, running from those bees, I looked ridiculous!!! I bet your house smells wonderful.
I don't like the bees either except if they are etched in a glass or material or something not real.
I love lilacs...they smell fantastic! We have two in our yard and the girls keep picking them...but who can blame them when they smell so irresistable!
LOL.....I'd be doing the exact same thing as you! I HATE BEES! But I love Lilacs. I have 2 smaller Lilac Bushes, but they aren't blooming just yet.

I'm glad to see you were able to get some lilacs without the bumble bees stinging you. I to just love lilacs. My shrub is still to young to have any blooms yet. Hopefully in a few years though. Hope your having a nice week.
