I bought this ugly lamp and lamp shade a week or so ago at The Salvation Army. It was only $1.00 and I saw it's potential! It was black, brass and wood. Ooh, ah!
BEFORE****
Poor, ugly lamp! LOL
AFTER****
I really love how it turned out.
I sprayed the whole thing flat black (I already had the paint). I added the burgandy braid trim to the lamp shade(WalMart $1.38), a sweet little burgandy, cream and green tassel(WM $1.38) and 4 burgandy taper candles(WM 88 cents each). Including the dollar I paid for the lamp and shade, I have a total of only $7.28 in this lamp that goes so perfectly in our living room.

$1.00-great deal. Isn't it so wonderful what spray paint can do to transform things. Looks great. Good to "meet" you. Thanks for stopping by our blog.
That's fantastic!
Liking the new background too.....
